Pros

Wages appear reasonable at time of hire, but......

Cons

Reviews are only done when the employee requests it and even though your review may state that you have exceeded the expectations of your job, no raise is awarded. No pay increases are ever given to employees, some worked there as long as 10 years, this is VERY normal. Management in the Renton office claims that reviews (pay increases) are no longer standard in this day and age and in this industry. REALLY? What planet do they live on? Management is brought in new, very unprofessional and lacking the experience necessary to conduct their jobs rather than promoting from within. Training for new management at local level is done by workers that actually do the job and do it well. Employees are not valued whatsoever, opinion is they can always be replaced in this economy.

Pros

Reliable employment, M-F schedule, dependable paychek

Cons

I worked in accounting during my time there and they have a definite problem with management. Some of the managers lack professionalism, and will go out of their way to make an employee feel like an outsider. They will treat employees differently based on their personal feelings and nothing to do with the work of the employee. This is one reason why they have such a turnover in accounting. Also their PTO package is seriously lacking, you only get 5 days of PTO time the first year you are there. That is for vacation and sick, the only offer 7 holidays a year.

Pros

There are none. There are red flags all around us. Even temps don't want to work here, now that is bad. They actually have someone that reads these reviews and it does no good. They make no changes.

Cons

Not one location is fully staffed. They push the work load off on the employees they do have instead of hiring the correct amount of people to do the job. Forget being compensated for it. They cut the Sales Managers pay by 20%, they also took away commission for the sales route drivers and then re-created a pay structure screwing the employee. And they wonder why they can't keep people. LKQ has some of the highest ratings for being one of the worse places to work. You will under paid and over worked and given other peoples work loads. HR works for the Employer not the Employee. So if you get hurt while your at work and file a workman comp claim, you will mist likely be fired for some off the wall excuse. We currently have a D rating on the BBB. Not enough check it out for yourself. They try to cover things up because they are owned by share holders and not an individual person. So if something happens they try to take care of it before it leaks out. They don't want people cashing in their shares, they would fold.
