BEST COMPANY I EVER WORKED FOR

Pros

This is a company where you can learn something new everyday. It is always changing and growing to adapt to the ever changing world. CEOs and Management are approachable and personable. The atmosphere of the office is professional but fun.

Cons

Managers travel and are away a majority of the time, it would be impossible for them to recognize everyone in the company. So the people they do see and interact with are continually awarded and recognized while the employees doing the grunt work continue to carry on in the background. Unfortunately, there is little to no turn over in management roles. LONG is a great company to work for but it is frustrating to give your all and do everything in your power to grow and advance and get nowhere.

Pros

On the leading edge of building automation technology, Long builds on a vast knowledge base with some of the best and brightest individuals in the industry. The team approach has lead the company to new heights in problem solving, sharing of ideas, accuracy and professionalism. They have a comprehensive safety program, an excellent benefits package, very competitive wages and opportunities for higher education. They have paid holidays, vacation time and sick pay. The management team gives you the tools to advance in your given field or to move within the company to a more satisfying position. What impresses me the most is how few people leave Long once they have been hired on.

Cons

This job is physically and mentally demanding and not for the weak in spirit. It may occasionally require working out of town for extended periods of time. Further education opportunities are on your own time, after work hours.
