Pros

Ownership of the company treats everyone equal, very little politics, stable company with excellent benefit package. Company founders as well as family members do not put them selves above any employee and strongly recognize everyone hard work and dedication. Long term commitment is rewarded with vacation packages. Work forces is very diverse and multicultural. Company has open door policy where anyone can express new ideas or just have opportunity to speak with management directly. Employees are encouraged to multitask and learn new skill sets. Promotion within is critical as well as new employee reference. Company is very much committed to manufacture within USA an ownership strongly supports local manufacturing. LSI is also not afraid to invest in future such as machinery and self-reliance.

Cons

Lack of tuition reimbursement programs for employee who would like to go back to school or attend flexible education.

Clueless "Leadership"

Pros

They offer benefits like Vision, Dental and Health. Mental Health is affordable (if you make it a year here you need it). Most of the plants make interesting products. Some managers are decent people.

Cons

The CEO requires employees to call into a meeting after work hours (used to be weekly, then monthly and now quarterly). There were layoffs when covid hit, (CEO says there weren't but i personally know 4 people who lost their jobs) We were furloughed for 7 weeks. Lost vacation accruals, and 401K matching for nearly a year. They got rid of the bonus program, didn't tell anyone. It just doesn't exist anymore. Changes are made without considering how employees are affected. As long at the "Share Holders" have a positive outcome they are only considered. "Leadership" hates letting employees work from home. If you ask to be paid what you are worth plan to find another job. They don't want you. There are no women or anyone of color in "Leadership". Working here is an actual toxic relationship.

Taking away from the employee

Pros

None. When everything is being stripped from hard working people what else can you say.

Cons

Why would you continue to stay at a company or consider a company that continues to take away from the hard working people. Benefits are horrendous, vacation continues to be reduced. Is this to save money because performance is so poor by the upper management that is non existence with their hefty salaries? Time for a new year start and a better job.
