Cons

Little to no raises, no annual performance reviews and no ability to move up in the company/branch. Long hours with little pay compared to other clinics under the company by $3 - $5.

Due to the pandemic, the demand in the veterinary industry as a whole increased significantly, leading to staff shortages and an overwhelming amount of new pets. We are so grateful to our teams in the field who rode out this rollercoaster with us and pay rates are continually revaluated by region.

You will probably get the holidays, benefits, and salary you are promised.

Cons

Lakefield does not value its veterinarians. Of the multiple corporate veterinary groups I've worked for, Lakefield is the absolute worst with regards to treating veterinarians as expendable. They are 100% driven by profits, but they will tell you they care more about clients, employees, and work culture.
