The organization focuses more on profit and revenue versus best practiced medicine for the animal patients. Lack of administrative infrastructure is rampant with little to no support in the People and Culture Team (Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition). Many executive and C-levels are employed not through experience but through nepotism. Lack of experienced managers leads to a high level of administrative burnout and turnover. Lakefield Veterinary Group does not advertise as being an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not celebrate Equity, Inclusion and Diversity. Benefits and compensation is sub-par compared to competing organizations. NO PAID HOLIDAYS for non-medical administration. Admin are required to use PTO and / or floating holiday pay for the standard federal holidays (Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, Memorial Day and Labor Day). 4 floating holidays are given and to be used for the federal holidays and not personal use.
