No weekends or holidays- or OT if that's what you like.

Cons

No room to advance- no raises that amount to anything, no retirement, Benefits are expensive. Management in any department does nothing to encourage or build up employees for success- out of 32 departments, there are none that make this claim.

The best job anyone looking for entry-level experience in law enforcement can get. - Get your own Patrol vehicle (red/blues, Ford F-150's) - Able to issue citations/tickets - Coworkers and management generally great to work with - Every day is pretty different, never know if its going to be slow to non-stop action - Awesome Training program and field experience - Good foot-in-the-door for connections within County

Cons

- They are really reluctant to give even one day off to you throughout the summer - Absolutely required to work all holidays - Pay at $10.25 is horrible. The risks involved with this job can be life-threatening and the work is long and exhausting. Honestly the pay is just disrespectful to the employees.
