      In my experience, I felt uncomfortable with how personal information was handled within management. I shared information in a professional context that I expected would remain confidential. Management will share information about your identity and personal life with their network and acquaintances. After leaving the company, I requested a reference from a former supervisor and later received contact from someone I did not know, which made me feel that my information may have been shared to target and humiliate me. Because of my experience, I would advise employees to be cautious about how much personal information they share with management, especially women
