Pros

I loved the work and it was awesome making a difference in people's lives. I loved going into work every day. The pay wasn't bad, and they definitely offer some great benefits after a short period of working there.

Cons

Most importantly, these people have a huge turnover rate because they take in new college kids that buy in to all the new Google-esque culture only to weed out those who they just don't like within a few weeks. I frequently see them hiring new people on their Facebook page only to not see them reappear in later group photos shortly after. If you're not part of the in-crowd, you will be let go or put through a hard time until you quit. It is extremely obvious that almost every positive review here is from someone who is a part of the in-crowd and can't see how terrible they treat those who aren't. Nobody can "be the change you want to see" when management refuses to see you as a viable worker regardless of your output. The management will frequently lie to you. I was told how important I was frequently only for them to unexpectedly and suddenly let me go on a rough Friday work day for not meeting quota. I asked constantly for an update on how I was performing only to be met with a "you're doing fine" every time. The management plays favorites in the most obvious way. Mistakes made by some were reprimanded where as others could easily slide through doing the same thing without even being noticed. I expected better accountability from these people. Lack of professionalism doesn't just stop at favoritism. I don't mind the new work culture that attempts to be relaxed, and I don't mind the dress code or anything of that sort. However, I find it unacceptable to fraternize with coworkers that you plan on letting go. Telling them that we can work hard and prove ourselves when you only want your section's numbers to improve is immature and shows that you don't really respect the employee or person at all. Promises mean nothing to these people.

Pros

This company has some of the best values of any company I have ever worked for. The culture is very unique and makes me want to come to work every day. All of the employees are great people and everyone seems to get along really well, it's like a big family. This company offers opportunities like overtime, holiday pay, and paid missionary work after a certain amount of time with the company. This company really takes care of it's employees.

Cons

There aren't a lot of "cons" to Legal Monkeys. The company is growing fast, but there is only so far you can move up in the company. The work can be tedious and boring at times, but the culture and your team makes it a lot more fun. All in all, Legal Monkeys is pretty great.
