Good Place to Get Started

Pros

Great intro job. Hard to make a career here with such a large pool of other employees trying to do the same thing. Have to stand out in order to potentially move up with limited spots. Pay is pretty good for a career starter company.

Cons

Pay for performance is good in theory, but you need to get lucky to get assigned to the right law firms to get paid a lot.

Missed Opportunity

Pros

Very relaxed environment, great pay for young adults, and good exposure to an office environment. The pay is good for the BCS area, and the CEO is very friendly and straightforward. The company does go out of its way to reward its employees, truly great to see.

Cons

While the CEO is straightforward there is some hidden politics that influence not only raises but firings as well. The company does treat its employees well, but I personally lost any interest and motivation in the job from what basically began as bullying from one of the assistant coaches. It was constant and all day however the assistant coach was excellent at their job and seemed to receive a blind eye because of it. I initially loved the business and became friends with many of the longtimers, but after I received a new assistant coach everything went downhill fast, and I began looking for a new job.

Pros

I wanted to clear up a few things that I had seen posted on here. No I was not asked to post this by management or anyone. I just got tired of sitting by while people lied about this company. For those people who think the company forces you to work so much, overtime is an OPTION. It is not required. It is a luxury for those of us that need a little extra cash. Pajama DAY was just that, one day where people got to wear pajamas at work as a reward for working so hard and to have a little fun. That practice is common in the workplace anywhere. Being a student, I can never thank Legal Monkeys enough for being so flexible with my schedule and always reminding me to put my school work first. My team lead always asks me about upcoming tests and if I am keeping my grades up. The goals my management sets for me both in office and in school are extremely high because my management believes in me. If you truly think you work at this company and don't get benefits, you haven't stuck around long enough. For meeting a goal this past year the CEO rented a lake house and invited everyone to come, get away, and relax for the weekend. Hard work does not go unnoticed at legal monkeys. Often times, hard work is soon followed by additional responsibilities which implies that you are trusted and valuable to the company. At Legal Monkeys I am surrounded by people who genuinely care about me and make my job fun. I hope to stick around for the rest of my college career and potentially after.

Cons

Apparently I work with too many people who don't like the company. If you don't like it, change it, or walk away.
