      A view through the wrong end of the telescope

      Pros

      Compensation package is excellent. Rewarding work that has an impact. Leidos supported telecommuting for my position. Leidos is a large company; my assessment is based on my view of a narrow slice of the larger whole.

      Cons

      Untimely or absent decisions from management. Appearances of cronyism throughout the division in which I worked. Too few people to complete the assigned work. Far too much travel Other divisions of the company may be fundamentally different than what I perceived

      Pros

      Occasional annual bonus. Good Pay. Okay Benefits.

      Cons

      Got stuck with a neurotic, manipulative, game playing, and controlling program manager as a boss. The guy had truly psychological problems. Made it hard to lead as a technical manager. He would pull the rug out from under me all the time.

      assigned to several interesting projects and programs throughout my 11 year career. salary and benefits were very good. Ability to travel extensively

      management is trapped in a short term revenue horizon and seems to pride itself on the consistency with which they refrain from paying any severance of any kind upon termination
