      Pros

      Benefits: Generous leave, 401k, good medical. Hours: No weekends, overtime is available, management will help you balance life-work. Pay: Competitive for the region. Location: Surrounding area is small and lends itself to easy commute for most. Senior Management: Experienced, tough but fair, honest and ethical, good communicators.

      Cons

      Local area may limit recruitment of quality employees. Limited upward mobility. Constant Corporate restructuring.

      Pros

      The company has many challenging projects involving difficult problems in software, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. You will not be bored and there are many problems to fix and solve. Lots of hands on work in labs to keep you from sitting in a cubicle

      Cons

      The hours can be long and include weekends and holidays when deadlines need to be met. Lots of process involved because of government contracts and tracking requirements and hours etc. The company environment is too formal for the type of work and can stifle creativity. Building is old and location is not desirable.

      Economy, defense cuts and consolidation resulting in agressive layoffs Like anywhere, your immediate management makes all the difference Need considerable contracts to persisit You must be able to invent, re-invent and innovate to endure Your obstacles are their opportunity to lay you off
