Company has potential, but inter-departmental issues persist.

Pros

Company offers flexible work schedules.

Cons

Product knowledge appears to be tribal. If you're new, you have to rely on individuals for any sort of training and knowledge, so your're at the mercy of someone volunteering their time to "show you around". This makes it difficult for newcomers because their products and methodologies are proprietary. In addition, managers and directors lack any sort of transparency. I found tasks and projects had to be completed in a trial and error fashion, since you're never given concise instructions or requests.

Moral is BAD throughout the company

Pros

We had summer hours, leaving at noon on Fridays and some teams are allowed to work from home.

Cons

Product knowledge appears to be tribal and the none of the marketing teams work closely with sales to really know or understand who their customers are. Makes it hard for Marketing to support the business but still, we press on. If you're new, you have to rely on individuals around you or who you begin to befriend to provide training or support. The company nor any of the verticals have resources or patience to bring staff up to speed on products and the organization for a new employee to feel welcomed. So you're at the mercy of someone volunteering their time to "show you around". This also makes it difficult for newcomers because their products and methodologies are proprietary and silos are the norm. In addition, managers and directors lack any sort of transparency. I found most people I talked to were dealing with completing projects in a trial and error fashion and rarely were we given concise instructions or requests.

Pros

Most departments have a flexible Schedule. Located in Dayton has an easy commute, head quartered in Dayton lends itself to many opportunities for growth.

Cons

Different departments function as a silo, not much unified strategies across entire organization, can cause confusion for customers and new hires. Overall a good place to work.

Pros

Heading in the right direction. Very engaged CEO of the insurance vertical in Alpharetta, and very approachable. Always looking to innovate with new solutions. Fantastic business partner with insurance carriers.

Cons

Lack of coaching and true leadership shown by management- instead, they preach that we are all leaders and must all take accountability for our actions. Great concept, but everyone is afraid to make decisions for fear of failure, and resulting consequences - including sales management. Micro management of process is king, and Monday morning quarterbacking persists. Issues with customers is always perceived as the fault of the sales group, even if sales had no control of how the problem occurred. Finance group manages to a daily revenue stream, always needing insight for any blips.
