Pros

The particular department I worked in before I left was a great department. The employees are close, the upper management sincerely cares about helping students and taking care of their employees. For that reason alone and the continuing education benefit, I give Liberty University 3 stars.

Cons

Especially in working with the Online Department, it is all about NUMBERS NUMBERS NUMBERS. Sure some people still have the mission of Liberty University in mind, but the push to get numbers up says otherwise. The micromanagment is suffocating and a huge waste of time. It creates tension and a hostile environment. Management stives so much to get numbers and goals met that quality is sacrificed and the needs of the employees are overlooked. "The You Matter" initative is a joke. The employees are seriously underpaid. Free education as a benefit plays a factor into this I'm sure, but not everyone uses that benefit. Jerry Jr mentioned over a year ago that reviews would go into place for pay raises. We have yet to see that, and forget a cost of living raise. Liberty is a multi-million dollar institute who can't spend their money fast enough on anything and everything except their employees.

Pros

Pretty stable job position but no tenure. Nice raises this year, but onloy a 200.00 per year increase guarantee.

Cons

Very Political, unpredictable dept head, lots of free overtime demanded. Personal life sometimes not considered when assigning late night and after hours work.

Pros

Christian environment, education benefits, campus environment, good revenue stream, beautiful campus, nice area, mild weather, safe and secure work place.

Cons

Way too involved in local, state and federal politics, need to slow down on growth, too many urgent changes which compromises quality, too many youthful workers who haven't had any other experiences and are way too prideful and arrogant. Very functional organization, too many silo departments
