Pros

The job is actually easy work, fun, and presents you with a great opportunity to engage in sports talk with customers. The job teaches you to engage with customers, persuade them to buy, and create return customers.

Cons

They have a very archaic business model, prioritizing the monetary gain of an option (because they keep all the proceeds) rather than emphasizing the overall gain of the store that day. Lids also has a faulty loss prevention program, with language written in to protect the company from liability, leaving the individual store managers without top side protection.

Pros

Sports atmosphere, great culture. Company tools are designed for all store personnel to be successful. Product team and corp office support team are always helpful. New executive leadership personnel are open to new ideas, and transparent about company vision and path for success. Continued company focus is on the basics and changes minimally due to changing retail environment. A great company to call home for a long time.

Cons

More hours for stores would provide better in store culture, training and development, and better results trough coaching and correct coverage.

Pros

Discount was good and so was the schedule if you knew what you were doing and they were desperate enough for you to be needed which they usually are.

Cons

Cannot keep a staff in any store. They pay the minimum but want employees to be trainers, embroidery masters, security and maintence. Bank is always in a dark ally somewhere. Need to stop tucking in shirts. Most stores are falling apart. And hey we can't keep quality employees as is let's cut them down to at most 30 hours so it cuts their bonus and benefits. That'll get you guys some winners
