      Pros

      Decent mall hours. Time flys by. Not at all challenging. A lot of free time

      Cons

      if your new the other associates will not shut up about how great they are in the store, you bust your hump to meet the company goals while you receive min wage. dealing with less then avg smart customers.

      Hat World Ups and Downs.

      Pros

      -Starting out at Hat World as an assistant manager, I was given opportunities right away to grow within the company. I found my time there both challenging and rewarding. Until I had to leave to return to college, the district manager was ready to give me an opportunity to take over as store manager. -There was also a great discount, which was very good for me because I have always owned a lot of hats. All employees receive forty percent off of all purchases within the Genesco Co. (Hat World, Lids, Journeys, Journey Kids).

      Cons

      There are two main downsides to working at Hat World: -As with any retail position, there are customer issues. The customers at Hat World may be the worst I have ever dealt with in any retail position. There were often arguments and just all around rudeness from the shoppers. -There was also a lot of pressure on the employees to produce "numbers" even though they are not compensated with bonuses or commissions. If you had even an off day there were people immediately calling to let you know that it was unacceptable.
