A step backwards

Pros

Pay, benefits, work/life balance, clinical diversity, freedom

Cons

Very poorly organized place. Patients leave left and right because they’re not getting callbacks from anyone including billing, scheduling etc. So you keep doing intakes indefinitely. There is no functioning internal referral system which is unacceptable at a company this size. Too much greed buying up practices and not enough expertise/strategy to avoid very significant and painful growing pains. Admin is largely underpaid and incompetent. Since pay is solely fee for service with no base, these issues directly affect your paycheck. This model will only work for you if you are super productive and can see 2 intakes/4-5 follow-ups an hour. Otherwise you will be underpaid. There is absolutely nothing innovative or proprietary about how they provide mental health care - In fact to us it was a step backwards from our practice. Also, Corp Dev will make sure they word your contract in a way that’s going to work for them not you long term.

Pros

Several locations all over so you are able to transfer closer to home

Cons

Unlawful, lacks professionalism, management not in tune with employees so it’s you word against theirs. HR is no where around you can only email them so the have no idea of the managerial tactics going on in office. CEO doesn’t know half of what’s going on in Lifestance different regions. They hire you for a position and you end up in a totally different position unrelated to your field of work. No one is safe. Please save yourself and don’t get locked in with this company. Personal recovery network is all about money. They care nothing about their employees who slave to make this company strive.

Pros

Nice office space, enjoy co workers and hybrid option.

Cons

Onboarding was a disaster. HR couldn’t answer questions confidently. You basically teach yourself the system or hope your front office staff can help you. The trainers either didn’t show on time, or system wasn’t working to provide training. The recruiter completely overhyped the compensation and the stock options. Don’t take the advance on comp - it has been a nightmare to try to figure out how LS has you pay it back (ask HR and crickets). They’re growing way too fast and can’t keep their current offices fully staffed. Their filter system has been down, intake can throw anyone on your schedule, which puts you in a tough spot of seeing someone you may not be comfortable with; if you protest too much they response ‘well at least see them and go from there,’ knowing the client will be charged for another assessment if we have to transfer them to another provider. You constantly have to scan your schedule to ensure you can catch these issues so client is able to be connected to someone who can be a better fit.
