Pros

Lifestance is a really good company to work for, and I have been fortunate to work on the office I do. I have amazing coworkers, our patient coordinator is unreal, and our practice manager goes out of his way to make sure ALL staff have what we need.

Cons

The only real cons are: - No benefits for clinicians outside of insurance. Not even PTO. - Loss of clients due to billing/insurance issues

Pros

Steady referrals (internal and external); reasonable late cancellation & no-show fees; scheduling autonomy; free (live) CECs; option to work hybrid

Cons

Testing clinicians are a smaller group across the country; administrative staff does not always fully understand testing fees/procedures when scheduling or checking in patients; some testing referrals are inappropriate/unstable for testing because clinicians are also not fully aware of the nuances of testing

Pros

Fee-for-service reimbursement with a base-salary safety net for full-time therapists, high level of autonomy with schedule, fair benefits package as far as individual out-of-pocket costs, nice office spaces if you want to have flexibility to see clients in person, good place to build private-practice skills if you plan to eventually be out on your own, 30 hours of availability required.

Cons

Poor onboarding process, do not deliver on promise of administrative support, frequent changes in management, clients leave treatment due to unresolved insurance and billing issues, lack of transparency around reimbursement rates, be careful if you want to work additional job, exclusivity language in employment contract.
