Pros

Support staff is amazing. Make your own schedule, very flexible. Has high earning potential.

Cons

No paid time off - Don't work? don't get paid. Compensation model while building caseload is frustrating.

Pros

Lifestance feels like it's on the cusp of being great if it can get its act together. There is exciting work to do, and many people care about the work they do.

Cons

There are too many people in senior positions who have "grown up" at LifeStance and have no business being in the positions they are in. Or, they've been brought via people they know and it's now an echo chamber. LifeStance desperately needs more fresh eyes who have seen what "good" looks like at other companies and can bring that here. I see this happening in pockets, but it's stagnant in others. Everything is leadership via consensus, killing innovation and employee motivation. "We've always done it that way," and "it's easier to just leave it" are worshipped phrases here. The benefits are expensive. The 401k program is a joke (they payout 18 months late), and clinicians (the revenue-generating part of the company) are second-class citizens. This has also got to be the white-est company I've ever seen.

Not so Much

Pros

I was able to obtain my clinical hours as they offer supervision. I enjoyed working with some of my colleagues.

Cons

Be wary of the abundance of positive reviews, they target people who have just started working here and request they write a review before they get the full flavor of what it is like here. The billing department is completely dysfunctional and it will impact your work! You will spend parts of some of your sessions providing supportive therapy to those you serve over billing issues! Very counterproductive. You are unable to contact anyone directly in billing and trying to have an issue resolved is near impossible. Productivity has become a central component, and I get it, it is a business but many people in operations have lost sight that it is MENTAL HEALTHCARE. A lot of corporate BS and it is just getting worse.
