Pros

- Lighthouse is a remote first company with only a limited number of roles that are required report to an office location. This is key to finding the best talent and is very forward thinking. (i.e., Lighthouse had a sizeable remote labor force before the pandemic and unlike other companies has no plans to change this dynamic as the pandemic winds down. And of course, if you are close to an office you are always welcomed to pop in to work.) - Computer equipment provided by the company is quite good and the team that supports this is very kind, responsive, and competent. - Executive level leaders are all approachable and seem to really care about the business AND the employees. Many times I've seen the outcome of decisions where the execs could have penny-pinched, but chose not to because they wanted to support employees. (e.g., holding benefits rates constant from 2022 to 2023 when it would have been far easier to pass along the increased costs to employees.) - A new CEO with an admirable track record who leads through inquiry. This gentleman listens and then asks questions to enhance his understanding. I've been in several meetings with him and he is always engaged and does not have an annoying ego problem. In fact, he sort of has a twinkle in his eye that conveys he is a real person too. - The People & Culture team is very engaged. There are monthly pulse surveys to share how you're feeling. There is also an in-depth annual engagement survey. The results of the annual survey are shared openly and employees are encouraged to participate on meaningful outcomes to improve things. - The CFO is pretty darn smart and seemingly always available to offer guidance. (I'm not sure when that man sleeps!)

Cons

- The peer to peer recognition process could be beefed up a bit to be more exciting. - Further development of the corporate intranet is needed to better showcase important news and other employee/company wins.
