Pros

The reading programs are incredibly effective and great if you do any work around supporting students with learning disabilities. The experience is top notch for building skills to supporting student learning. The connections with students can be priceless and seeing grow in skills and ability is amazing.

Cons

The stress and demands run exceedingly high, despite the low pay. The opportunities to advance or develop beyond the entry level are very scarce.

Pros

The kids were awesome! Co-workers were nice! I had a private office. My boss (clinic director) was super nice. I liked the decor of the office. The space had a great vibe. There was a lot of freedom. I was completely trusted to do my job the way I saw fit. Non-micromanaging.

Cons

The pay was not very good. Enforcing the company's financial policies was difficult. (Parents pre-pay their kids weekly tuition so if the kid misses a session they don't get their money back.)

Pros

The programs are magical in terms of the life changing achievements for students of all ages. There are pockets of highly professional staff members locally and at the corporate headquarters.

Cons

There is definitely an in crowd. If you didn't come up through the ranks, you are at a disadvantage. Some middle managers are great and some are full of themselves. Business processes need to be a strong at the instructional program.
