Pros
The program is designed to work. If a child or young adult is struggling in symbol (letter) imagery, phenomal awareness (sounding out), word recognition, concept imagery (visualizing/comprehension), or even arithmetic, there is a program that could help them. I felt the atmosphere was fun most of the time. Kids are the stars.
Cons
If the aim is to help children succeed than why is it aimed at spoiled kids whose parents can afford $120/hr×4hrs/day×5days a week???? The kids whose parents are racking up tens of thousands in debt are not being treated fairly. Here's why: the online sessions always start late, the technology is not efficient and much time is wasted. In addition many materials are seriously worn, damaged, missing or incomplete. I felt like the entire staff value of 'show' is to make it seem worth the excessive unreasonable amount of money they charge parents. The staff also seemed very unconcerned with any employee issues or struggle. They are salesfolk and demonstrate no depth or vision to develop a universal approach welcoming all economic statuses and not just the dissipating upper-middle class. I felt extremely underappreciated as an employee and a brother of a client.
