Pros

Management give you a lot of autonomy to set your own schedule and work on projects as you see fit. They treat you like adults with a lot of flexibility, fun environment, great break room, and my favorite is the ongoing training with co-workers in other departments.

Cons

It's still a smaller company that is trying to capture more of the market share so there are growing pains.

Pros

The tech is very impressive. Most of the employees are very talented, great people.

Cons

Some of the execs have created a very cutthroat culture. Marketing is untrustworthy.

"The technology is good enough to speak for itself. " Thank you for taking the time to review Lingotek. We are glad that you believe our technology is “good enough to speak for itself,” and we’re proud that Lingotek is creating some of the best translation technology in the industry with a very talented team. We respect your feedback and would like to address some of your concerns. "Some of the execs have created a very cutthroat culture. " Lingotek holds its employees to high standards, and that includes creating a culture of accountability and deliverability. Our customers are counting on it. "Marketing is untrustworthy. Don't let marketing make up so many things about it that are untrue. It is a sad running joke that whenever a company press release announces a new feature/benefit, employees ask "wait, does our system really do that?" often to hear, "no, not really, but marketing wants to see how people react." There’s a lot of dev humor (http://devhumor.com/media/monkeyuser-retrospective-accesories) about the mindset: “marketing should sell as much as possible and production should try to keep up.” While that’s not exactly the case at Lingotek, we trust marketing to fulfill their role, which is to generate interest, leads, and ultimately--sales. While the timing may be a concern of yours, we are confident that any organization that sees a Lingotek press release and wants the technology or services described, they will be able to get it.

Awesome product/tech and employee culture. Open source stack. Nice office perks (activity days, free lunches and snacks).

Cons

Growing pains - resource limitations across multiple teams... both employee and hardware-wise.
