Working in a poor situation in a generally good company
Pros
If you are at headquarters or one of the better divisions, it is probably a good company. Most of the people I've interacted with are quite good and friendly. I think it is a company someone could make a good career with in the right places. I am part of a recently acquired company. I was quite impressed with everyone I met after the acquisition. I've already met people who show up on the corporate web site as officers, VPs, etc, and they were genuinely friendly. I think Littelfuse is a company someone could have a very good career with. Pay is reasonable and benefits are okay and the culture is okay (if perhaps a bit staid). If you are interested in Littelfuse, pay very close attention to what part you are joining. Do your due diligence and don't be afraid to dig deep and talk to a lot of people. For many people, LF would be a very good choice.
Cons
There seems to be a significant amount of variation of the working environment from group to group. Most of the groups where I am at are fairly good. However, I would just strongly advise you to privately talk to a lot of people inside and outside of the group you are looking at. If the group is spread across different locations, be sure to be able to privately talk to individuals at the other locations as well. Again, most groups are good, and if you are at headquarters or a corporate center you will probably have lateral movement opportunities. However, there are a few toxic situations you could potentially find yourself in if you do not do your homework. Sad to say, but a few of the future openings at Littelfuse will be in those situations because people are leaving.
