Hiding Behind Consumer Branding

Pros

Perception of working for a Fortune 500 company, will add a degree of allure on your resume, especially if you plan on continuing to work in the entertainment industry.

Cons

Huge wage disparity, paying for seniority, not actual quality talent. Simple and basic business processes fail. Employee onboarding was unsuccessful in even achieving the simplest task: organizational values. This can be attributed to the lack of focus on values, especially from top leadership. Never set my personal performance goals or objectives. High turnover, in new full-time employees, reasoned by ineffective data. No change management when restructuring occurs. Failure to provide employees with capabilities. Focus is not on people, which is understandable, as the company relies on its perceived employer branding to constantly fuel its open positions. People are replaceable - as one executive told me "everyone wants to work at Live Nation, who cares if they leave". A similar approach to Amazon's warehouse people strategy, which is fine, because it is effective for them. However, if you want to be valued as a person and integral to the success of the organization - keep looking.

I couldn't agree more that what matters at the end of the day is a great team culture- that is the foundation from which everything else is built on. How you feel coming into to work every day and what you feel like you can accomplish. I really appreciate your candor, you clearly have been thoughtful about your time here in writing your review. Some things I am disappointed to hear about - such as an exec saying that they don't care if people leave- and know there are many counterpoints to the contrary. And on others, there is an art to managing teams in a decentralized organization. It's more reliant on individual people and leaders to carry the culture forward vs from a mandate. I would love to talk with you more about this, as you noted that you are a current employee. Please shoot me an email so we can connect live. If not, I take your comments to heart and will be digging into them on my end. Thanks again for taking the time to write.... Nadia Rawlinson

Thanks for your feedback, we are proud to always promote people based on talent and regardless of gender - but please come back to me if you have some more details on your comment as I promise to look into that and ensure any truth in that is addressed - as this is not what we are about at all.
