Locus is not keeping up with the rapid development of the biotech space in the RTP area. Maybe the compensation rates made sense for the area when the company was first founded, but this is not true anymore. Salaries and benefits don't compare whatsoever to what other companies are offering, and employees across the board are not being compensated enough to account for the rapidly increasing cost of living in the RTP area. This can be seen by how high employee attrition has been this year and needs to be addressed ASAP. It seems like Locus has relied on recruiting new graduates who don't realize they are getting paid sub-par wages and will stay for "experience" to balance out high attrition, but this does not seem like a sustainable path forwards as institutional knowledge is constantly being wiped as hiring cohorts leave within a year of joining the company.
