Pros

- Locus provides an opportunity to do fast-paced, challenging, and intellectually stimulating work even for the more junior employees - The culture creates a very close-knit company that you know cares about your success and future - Management is very flexible about time-off and working your work schedule around your life schedule when need be

- Hours can be long - In the past, there have been some issues with top-down communication

Pros

Science is cutting edge and that is about it.

Cons

Work hard, work hard culture with no work-life balance and a high employee turnover rate. The pay is mediocre for the long and stressful hours required to be "successful" here.

Incredible science, toxic work environment

Pros

It's an overwhelming feeling to see cutting edge research happening right before your eyes. Being surrounded by scientific brilliance of this level is spell-binding.

Cons

The workplace is toxic due to management. There is great emphasis on developing good leadership skills, but the leadership doesn't practice what they preach. That level of stress isn't worth the payout. Very click-ish environment with the CEO playing favorites and unnecessary office politics. Narcissism at it's finest.
