Pros

Fast promotions with salary increases.

Cons

The company is run by The c(ult)-suite, not science. If you drink the Kool-Aid and inflate the CEO ego, you too can climb over the backs of others to reach the top. Science does not drive decisions here. Instead, an uneducated (in science) CEO rants until random ideas spout out, the c-suite laps up every word as they formulate some chaotically hurried and under investigated plan to throw at the poor overworked, highly educated day to day employees, who are regularly forced to hear and react to "pivot" more times in a month than Ross could yell out in Friends.

Pros

You will learn new techniques and receive so much experience in microbiology and molecular biology. The entry level staff, such as the RAs, RTs, and scientists are very helpful and nice, you are really able to make friends with them. If you want to learn new skills, you able to do so.

Cons

Constantly working on many different projects. The directions of the projects are constantly changing and upper management does not communicate that downward. Transparency is supposed to be a core value and is poorly executed by upper management and middle management. You cannot work 40 hour work weeks, you have to work 50-60 hour work weeks. There is no work-life balance, you will burn out quick here. The unlimited PTO policy doesn’t get used that often since you are looked at funny if you actually take off days, but management says “they care about you.” The turn around rate at this company is so high because they don’t care about anyone here. If you currently work there or are looking to work there I suggest to keep to yourself and also think to yourself “why is everyone leaving this place?” Furthermore, the website does not even show the staff members anymore, probably because so many are leaving.

Pros

You will learn a lot and get exposure to things you wouldn't typically see at a larger company.

Cons

No life-work balance. I did not realized how toxic the work culture was until I starter a new job elsewhere. You will be underpaid compared to other companies in the area.
