Pros

Wonderful co-workers who are all looking to enhance the customer's experience. The staff have grown from 25+ to 170 or so in about 8 years. LCS has had 20% growth over the last 10 years or so which is a reflection of the hard work of the employees from sales to customer service, development to quality assurance, from marketing to training & all the other departments that contribute to the success of the product.. LCS provides an extensive training program for new hires, offers opportunity for advancement, & is open to hearing the employee's input on enhancing the software. The CEO has held small group sessions that are diverse in attendees from several departments. This has allowed staff & the CEO to hear what the employee wants to share from enhancing the software to employee benefits, etc. The CEO is the ONLY management person in attendance & the session is relaxed & open. You don't find many companies where the CEO takes the time to sit down with his employees to hear their thoughts. Everyone must bring ideas to the table & present their idea(s). LCS's software is geared for the Property Management business & as they enhance the software to meet the requests of customers & the trends in the industry, business has grown. Over the last couple of years they have also added the NDT phone system which is integrated with the software to simplify the end-users experience. We do come together prior to our annual conference for an update of what will be presented as new features & enhancements to the business but would like to hear "what's in the works" throughout the year. I've been in the work force for several years & I can truly say this is the BEST COMPANY that I have ever worked for. The integrity is of the highest nature & the goal is always to help the customer in any way we can even if it means going outside of my "job duties" to meet a customer's needs. This focus truly meets with my need to be as helpful to our customers as I can. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else & I tell complete strangers to look at the opportunities we offer to see if they may be a fit. As mentioned above, the integrity of the company surpasses other places I have worked!

Cons

As the company grows, benefits have been enhanced but we do fall short on offering a short-term disability program. Would also like the ability to carry over more than 2 weeks vacation to have a cushion in case you do need to be off more an a day or two. There are not enough opportunities to advance in the company as those leadership roles are few. This is not meant to be a criticism but an observation. Telecommuting & 4-day work weeks would be a wonderful addition to the flexibility of the company. Some employees need a little more flexibility in their schedule. As with all companies, communication can be much improved. I understand that everything cannot be shared or there is not enough time to share from the corporate side but it is exciting to be in the "know" of what's coming along & to feel that you are part of this growth.

Pros

GREAT work environment. I have been an employee of LCS for 7 years and can honestly say I have never disliked or complained about going into work everyday. I have watched the company grow from a small group of 15-20 employees into this amazing growing company of now over 140 employees and growing. The CEO and my manager have always been willing to work with me if something were to come up as in a child being sick and needing to stay home with them, being able to leave when needed to go to doctor appointments, worked with my maternity leave when I had my second child and made sure I took the requested time off. Every year our CEO gives EVERY employee a $1000 Christmas bonus... and YES that's all 140+ employees he gives that to. This is a very close knit company, we are all here for the same reason and we all know each others values with the company. As the company continues to grow the CEO still makes sure we are a "family" environment by making sure we have monthly events that include the whole company whether it is a company cookout, reds game, LCS soccer team, LCS volleyball team, and many more family oriented events. I am very proud to call LCS my family and to be able to work for a company with great values, company goals, and very customer oriented.

Cons

I have sat here and thought for a few moments on some of the company cons.....I will say that any cons or concerns that I have every had have all been discussed and resolved. I say this because the CEO does a meeting with employees so we can share our ideas with him. These can range from concerns, dislikes, kudos and so on. He uses these lists to determine which changes to implement. Not too many owners actually take their employee's input to heart.

Pros

The employees make work fun and engaging, I was able to learn a lot and really enjoyed coming to work. The team was enjoyable and everyone was nice, issues were few and far between. Was a great place to learn for 4 years but I was glad to leave. Pay was average, not exceptional but not bottom of the barrel.

Cons

Insurance was terrible, there is ZERO leave for pregnant women. There is 401k match but only after 1 year, and you have to stay 7 years to be vested, which means they will get rid of you befre 7 years. Management is clueless, and still operating the company as if it were 1999 and they are a 15 person company. Was often encouraged to lie to customers to get them to buy new things they didn't need. Was often encouraged to not fix issues so customer would have to spend more money to get more support. Any pro-active work to mitigate issues the client may have to prevent future issues was not allowed, unless on billable time. If nothing was breaking and we didn't get any calls, it was assumed we weren't doing anything useful and we were in trouble. There was zero opportunity to take an hour of the day and learn something new, something that would be massively beneficial for you and the company. CEO cares about the bottom line only, nothing else matters. The employee doesn't matter, the customer doesn't matter, only the bank account matters. There is no job growth opportunity at all, there is no room for advancement because every management job is taken by "managers" who won't leave because at any other job, they'd be making 25k a year and would be in charge of the fry machine.

At LCS, we truly value our employees. Our employees are eligible to take 12 weeks off work to care for their newborn and themselves after the birth of a child. We benchmark our insurance benefits against the market on a regular basis and believe we have a very competitive benefits package. We provide a matching contribution of 100% up to 4% of pay into employees’ 401(K) accounts. Employees are fully vested in the 401(K) employer matching contributions immediately upon receiving it. Additionally, we have an annual discretionary profit sharing contribution which has been 3.6%. This results in employer 401(K) contributions of up to 7.6% of pay each year! Like our employees, customers are very precious to LCS. Nothing is more important to us than being courteous, helpful, and honest with our customers and we take that very seriously. Under no circumstances would anyone be encouraged to not take care of our customers. We take pride in the fact that LCS has many customers that have been using our software and services for 20+ years. If you experienced anything other than this we wish you would have reported it to our Human Resources department or our President/CEO so that it could have been addressed. We are sorry you had a negative experience and wish you the best in your career.
