Pros

I was able to work this job while in college to maintain benefits Moral of the pros: Have an out route

Cons

Lord have mercy on me.....where do I start?! Let me start by saying that if you're reading this you generally fall into one of two categories: 1) considering a job with Loomis (Seriously, God bless you current financial situation for considering this gig), or 2) previous employee curious to know if your experiences lined up with the majority of others With that said, the experience was rough......really fun at times but ultimately rough. During my tenure with the company my hourly wage was around $12 (definitely a struggle) but I've heard that this number has went up. In my opinion (I hate being subjective but this is the truth), the moderate wage does not equate to the phenomenal risk you take daily. While there are countless dangerous positions that one could be employed in, it is critical to have the trust and backing of the organization and this is not the case with Loomis. I saw coworkers be victimized, robbed, and unfortunately even shot so be cognizant that Life is Real. *very sad shrug and small tear* Hot trucks.....yikes. Stay hydrated. I found myself in the traditional American situation: If you work hard, you'll earn the opportunity to do other peoples job [for the same pay]. Needless to say, if you're the "fast tech, knocking out ATM's in under 7 mins"......you could get to lead but yeah, what type of Bobby Prize is that really?? Working sun up to sundown? I'm all for hard work but DOT regulation lines were definitely straddled. In all, me and a few of my former colleagues used the hardships and lessons of Loomis to become managers, directors, analyst, executives, police officers, fire fighters.......with "there is happiness after Loomis" being the biggest takeaway.

Pros

-Easy to move up to a lead position because not too many people want the stress -It's a job -Fairly easy job. A typical day includes sitting at a workstation and using a money counter and prepping the money for send out or the facility vault -Can work alone -Benefits

Cons

-Long hours with terrible work/life balance because you can't leave until all work is done, even if yours is. -Added responsibilities that you won't be paid for. I do everything a lead teller is supposed to, my job title is CMS Teller not LEAD CMS Teller so no raise -The pay isn't enough for the stress you deal with. Counting money is easy, but expect heavy workloads, starting late and ending late if the previous shift finishes their work late(yes you're still expected to finish yours and only certain accounts can be leftover), will be written up for missing days due to family emergency or sickness, lack of maintenance on the machines stalls work, and don't EXPECT anyone to help with your account on its heavy days especially when it's close to the end of the day and the lead gives permission for those that finish to leave, or someone will just rush you instead of helping.

Pros

There are no pros to this job.

Cons

They will work you ragged with forced OT, and then will complain about how you are making too much OT. You will never get a kudos or an attaboy. There is only negative feedback about your job performance. If you happen to stay long enough, you will eventually be fired and replaced by a fresh worker at the minimum pay.
