Pros

Teleworking available, good benefits, nice co-workers. Not too much stress.

Cons

Lots of people complaining, can't appreciate what they have. Overly timed to the minute.

Pros

My supervisor was very flexible with my part-time schedule. He allowed me to come in to work on Saturdays in order to focus on school during the week. The pay was a good amount above minimum wage.

Cons

Late hours during the summer because of Baseball League duties. Patron interaction not as bad as one would expect from retail or dining, but sometimes wasn't pleasant.

Pros

I did mediation at DCBA and it was great experience, especially when just starting out, because I got to work on my own, hands-on with clients to settle disputes and I got to work in court cases pre-trial, on-site.

Cons

It was an unpaid internship, and actually getting hired takes a long time because it's an inefficient process of testing twice, and giving an interview. Unfortunately, knowing people doesn't help to get hired in government job, you still have to go through the process.
