What a mess..

Pros

Great, people, product and technology.

Cons

Most teams are generally understaffed, overworked and underpaid. The company has very little respect for the employees, there is a high turnover rate; there is no interest in attracting and retaining experienced talent, so the company is staffed with junior, inexperienced people who are willing to work long hours for empty promises, and those who use the company as a spring board. Travel to the manufacturing site is constant. The logistics warehouse is a mess, parts disappear and limits the ability to build cars.

Pros

Creating a benchmark EV product Lots of really good people trying to do the right thing

Cons

Lucid is so behind the times when it comes to employee perks and benefits. There has really been no formalized communication regarding return to office to be able to anticipate what they will expect. However, they are now requiring everyone to be in office full time even if the job can be completed remotely or with some flexibility as the official guidance. If you are uncomfortable returning to the office during a pandemic they will try to work with you but at the detriment of advancement opportunities. The company wants to be a start up but is currently run by a group of old men that are very old school. Also, there are supposed to be a lot of opportunities for advancement but in the last year I've been with the company I haven't really seen that. The pay is also below what the market is offering.

Horrible Work Culture

Pros

Fast Paced work environment Ownership of design form cradle to grave

Cons

Managers are horrible - they hired a lot from Germany and they are arrogant and narcissist. They undermine the work of its own team members and are poor in recognizing good work as their expectations are always unreachable. They will find a reason to criticize you and never find one to praise you for your hard work. Also please don't expect any kind of work life balance. People are even scared to say the term work life balance in the office so that they are not being seen as a under-performer or looser. They take pride in working 12-14 hours a week with no time for family.
