Pros

Lunar Energy is a company founded for the desire to change history. We want to generate clean, green energy and transform the home electrification space. Every person I have ever met at Lunar is happy to be here. We are a driven group of people that come into work everyday knowing that we are designing a product unlike any other. Overall, Lunar Energy has an organizational structure that ensures all the people are utilized to their potential. The managers at Lunar are always so open to taking feedback so that we can grow as a company. I think the overall structure is efficient and straightforward. Culture! This company is all about a healthy, happy work environment which include culture. We have a slack group for any activity you can think of. Board games, hiking, happy hours, you name it. Lunar really wants work to be enjoyable and makes sure the company culture is a top-tier. Everyone is so happy to learn and excited to tell you what they do. Walking into work everyday is exciting and fulfilling. I have made some amazing friends here at Lunar and am so excited to be here. The perks we have at work are nice. We have paid lunch that is delivered to work. We have great mental and physical health resources through our insurance provider. Overall insurance coverage is good with a wide variety and the company paying for a portion of it. If you are excited about green technology and are mission driven, I would highly recommend working here.

Cons

Our timeline is a little aggressive. Every start-up has an aggressive timeline so I think this is a common complaint. However, if any group of people is capable of an aggressive start-up timeline, its the people at Lunar. I believe we can meet the timeline and create an amazing product

Pros

Lunar is my favorite company I've worked for because: 1. It fills me with pride to work in renewables - love when people ask what I do and it's something impactful. 2. I've noticed my hard work get rewarded. As the company has grown, I've been given opportunities to grow my career into management and wear hats outside of my traditional role. 3. People are respectful and default to kindness vs defaulting to arrogance/rudeness when working together.

Cons

At the end of the day, Lunar is still a for-profit company, so there are some downsides: 1) I'd rather be at the beach or spending time with friends and family than working at Lunar. 2) The impact one company can have is limited compared to the impact of public policy. 3) Hardware is inherently challenging. The deadlines matter, and there are occasional late nights as deadlines approach, and many roles require a few days in the office, which is unfortunately located in Mountain View.
