      One of the best federal contractors out there

      Pros

      1) They care about their folks. 2) Employee Stock Ownership Program. 3) Very interesting work especially in marine science, fisheries, environmental, hydrography, and data science. 4) CEO and Executive team are 100% accessible if you have a problem or concern.

      Cons

      With remote work and teams that are spread across the country, sometimes it is difficult to get face-to-face meetings and brainstorming sessions.

      You get to work with hands on experience and are working directly for NOAA.

      Cons

      As an affiliate for the federal government, they make it known and remind you everyday that you are not at the level that federal employees are at and all federal employees have full control over what you do for your job and/or if you get to keep your job even when they don’t work directly for the company you work under. You can have one frustrating conversation with a cohort and you can question whether or not you’ll have a job the next day. Watch your back, do your job, don’t make friends, and don’t trust anybody.
