Pros

The best reason why I enjoy working at the Bank is the benefits, vacation time off, hours that the branches are open 9-5.

Cons

The cons at working at the Bank are the low salaries and bonus which are based on performance, and the lack of education and knowledge from upper Management.

M&T misses the mark as an employer

Pros

Benefits are good and the company appears to be fiscally sound.

Cons

Little consideration for their employees and customers alike. They have many talented employees, but management does not tap into this as a resource. They have established a culture in which all innovation and decisions can only come from their HQ in Buffalo. The result is that little innovation or change occurs at M&T. Management seems to be hired by who they know not what they know. Which creates many poorly lead departments rife with office politics. New employees are not effectively oriented to the company or job. This includes poorly designed training.
