      Pros

      M&T Bank is a nice place to work. They take care of employees. Benefits are very good as well as there are opportunities for career growth.

      Cons

      M&T bank is located in buffalo. Being in buffalo doesn't open up many career opportunities. Buffalo is also not as diverse as well as some other cities.

      Pros

      A great credit culture - disciplined, rigourous, a bit too risk-averse, but not a bad thing in this economy.

      Cons

      Current model doesn't scale because of a lack of technology. Relationship Managers are forced to manually drive the entire loan process through the system without any use of technology automation.

      Good people and good work/life balance; competitive salary and benefits; growing presence in mid-atlantic region; financially stable and profitable, in contrast to other banks

      Cons

      inefficient management and less than ideal communication between management and its employees; promotions past Vice President are difficult, especially for anyone in a sales position.
