      No promotions, many layoffs.

      Pros

      You are allowed to be independent and get your work done without any interference from management.

      Cons

      Employment is shaky at best and every "Period of Performance" for the contract with the government is an other time to worry about being laid off. No severance or exit strategy, just being told you are being laid off.

      Pros

      - Program manager very communicative - interesting project choices and job locations - Flexible on work sites and schedules - Straightforward interview and onboarding process - Great work/life balance

      Cons

      This is a standard consulting firm, so the cons are pretty generic. If you are on a client-site, then the work environment is dictated by the client and Mantech does not play much of a role in day-to-day life. It is very hard to feel integrated and loyal to a corporation when working as a consultant, but that is the name of the game.
