Pros

Great people to work with, interesting work, opportunity to make positive recommendations to government, very flexible work schedule

Cons

New leadership definitely operating off of a Democratic political agenda, used to be very apolitical and focused on independent assessments and recommendations. Strong emphasis on diversity, but don't take a contrary position to corporate position. Company is not what it used to be, formerly was focused on highly experienced, older employees with extensive federal government work experience, engineering expertise, and highly proficient workers. Now hiring a lot of younger, far less experienced people with little to no federal government experience, and who are more focused on left leaning causes.

"Good Growth" ... for whom?

Pros

Wonderful facilities and amenities--they provide a 'home away from home." Good corporate communications structure--particularly MAID displays, and informative intranet with intuitive searches, and well-organized information on people and projects. Many technically gifted employees that take their roles as trusted advisors to the sponsor very seriously. Despite rumblings, health and retirement benefits are still excellent.

Cons

Corporate narcissism. There is a palpable preoccupation with self-identifying, re-branding, re-orging, synergizing, silo-smashing ...and other trite management-consultant-inspired hyphenates. More disturbing is the rampant cliques that have become the sole avenue for access to good project opportunities, and the primary basis for promotions. There are some very deep pockets of misogyny and nepotism that have stalled careers, and inspired once dedicated and motivated employees to go elsewhere.
