      Public interest and 'nation's biggest challenges' focus creates ALOT of opportunities to learn and grow serving the country

      Cons

      A bit slow (and a bit of a reflection on the federal sponsor pace) but working hard to change

      Good Technical Work With Difficult Government Sponsors

      Good work/life balance, very challenging problems, lot of variety in work programs and room for technical skills development

      Cons

      Considerable red tape due to government sponsors, some managers are highly protective of their work programs, considerable inertia to new technical ideas because of government sponsors

      Good place for work life balance

      Pros

      MITRE has great benefits, matching, and work life balance. There is a lot of flexibility in where you work (in the office, from home, remotely, etc.) and the hours are very flexible.

      Cons

      The goal of the work is not always made clear. Management does not always communicate clearly with all employees about upcoming changes.
