Potential flexibility in schedule, depending on project and PM; yearly raises (though not generally based on performance); good benefits; can be a tight knit team, depending on the team.
Cons
Often unfair and inequity in pay, raises and promotions. The job and how satisfying it is depends greatly on the project manager and who you work with, which varies extremely. Lots of favoritism around and people get promoted when in the buddy system.
