Pros

It's like working in a fun house. Everyone is so happy, friendly, fun, amazing free catering on a Friday where the whole company sits down together for a free lunch for a whole hour if not longer! Free good quality tea and coffee, and toast, and cereal, inc. lots of vegan options too, all day long! Great seminars and industry workshops open to all employees, really flexible with shadowing other departments too, very understand and flexible about working hours, a colleague took Thursdays off for half a year so she could do private art classes. I had to leave when I moved out of London for family reasons, and even now I miss this place so much. It's like working for a family, there is so much genuine love and compassion from management to their employees, which is near impossible to find in the 21st Century. Please never change MOO. You're a diamond of positivity in a dark world.

Cons

Almost non, literally, can't think of a single one. Higher Salary would have been nicer but when is that not the case?

Uneven Culture and Expectations

Pros

Relaxed dress, generous travel allowances, free breakfast, good benefits. Culture seems much better in the UK than the US, especially in departments that fall outside of operations.

Cons

Culture is very uneven and an unwritten class system of employees do seem to exist between countries, offices, and departments. Expectations also differ greatly between these departments. Some are expected to be available 24/7 while others seem to skate by. HR seems intimidated by senior management in the US and is therefore ineffective. In this same vein, some very questionable workplace behavior occurs which would not be tolerated in other companies, startups included. Moo seems like a great and fun place to work for entry level employees but I would not recommend it for more experienced individuals.

Unfocused, disparate company

Pros

Culture can be good if you are in the right department but that also means you're being babied. 401k matching is stellar.

Cons

Internal politics stands in the way of getting things done. Unfocused management zeros in on problems that are meaningless. Certain members of departments are overworked while others ride on their coat tails, twiddling their thumbs at their desks. Sexual harassment is a huge liability. HR is laughable and useless, does not solve internal conflicts, makes them worse, and gossips to other employees about issues.
