Beware of Layoffs

Competitive wage and benefits, friendly co-workers, fast-paced, and plenty to work on

Cons

Layoffs. In the 9 months that I worked at Mynd I survived two rounds of layoffs before being let go during the next cut. Since being let go I have seen (at least) 3 additional rounds of layoffs from former co-worker posts on LinkedIn, which is what compelled me to write this review today. If you're counting, that's six (6!) different rounds of layoffs since May of 2022. Additionally, roles were re-posted within the month for the same exact positions that were just let go. Upper management is totally out of touch and the hiring practices are grossly unethical. Stay away from this company.

Lack of integrity, poor processes and gross mishandling of properties

Pros

None. This company needs to be exposed and the CEO should be fired. The Board should be looking deeper.

Cons

Massive cover-ups internally of data mismanagement, lack of processes leading to mismanagement of properties and overall lack of integrity with customers both property owners and renters. Offshore customer service team in Philippines is badly managed and primarily in place to deflect and bury complaints from customers. Gaps in data and financials need to be deeply examined. The CEO is out of touch, preferring to show off his latest gaudy adventure rather than dig deep and solve problems. The wasting of VC money is shameful. Whistleblower process is rigged and not viable for those of us internally who do have ethics and want to put a stop to leadership’s shady practices.

Remote work and unlimited PTO

Cons

-Executives are fake nice -CEO is self centered and rude -Workload is unmanageable and you’re expected to be a team player and handle it. -Not one person of color in upper management - Does layoffs to save company from going BROKE then does mass hiring and repeat.
