Incredibly stressful and dysfunctional working environment

Cons
- The number of hours worked is not compensated by the pay. Starting from November to about mid-January when inventory is over you will be working a minimum of 10 hours a day. for three weeks in December, you will be working six days a week all of which are minimum 10 hour days with no overtime pay. You will be given one comp day for January however. From the 21st of December to Christmas Eve you are scheduled for 12 hour days but depending on the department you will be working at least 14 hours plus those days. - The first 3 months will be mainly just folding clothes. This is the time you are being trained by a mentor but after awhile they just send you off to fold all day. - Store manager's expectations and goals would be incredibly unreasonable - Stores are very understaffed mainly due to the struggling nature of retail and store profitability is shrinking. I could go on but if you have never worked retail before I recommend you stay away, but if you are familiar with the retail environment and Macys and you know you like the industry then it is a great opportunity.
