Makita USA no doubt is the pinnacle of corrupt and toxic corporate environment. The company has one major account, without this account Makita USA will fold. The upper management is totally out of touch, manage by intimidations, cussing and yelling., “ too weak and childish” narrow visions as they make decisions based on gossips, and he said/ she said, way too emotional and irrational. Employees are overworked and the stress is extremely high, therefore the staff turnover is so high, and the company’s door is a revolving door, entry level employees will leave as soon as they get some experience to add to their resumes. When you walk into any office or DC then you can see from employees face expressions how miserable and unhappy they are, the company doesn’t care about employees at all, they think that they are doing employees a favor by giving them work. All general managers are coming from Japan, and Makita Japan changes them every few years, they are very inefficient when it comes to establishing work process and accomplishing tasks as they try to compensate by working six days a week and 18 hours a day.
