Pros

I got along very well with my team. My managers were great mentors and provided me plenty of opportunities. Hours were fair and working conditions were comfortable.

Cons

Minimal pay raises in the last couple of years, working with buggy software can be frustrating. Felt that the recent layoffs were not well thought through by upper management (consultants with more experience and billing on projects were let go).

Pros

1. Manhattan is the leading application in the WMS space. Therefore, this expertise is marketable. 2. Salaries are reasonable and annual raises occur with regularity.

Cons

1. People in management aren't placed in those positions based on their ability to lead or motivate. Rather, they're placed in management roles because they're very knowledgeable of the product or they're able to increase billability. 2. Resources are pigeon-holed with one product and there's little work variety. 3. Manhattan WMS expertise isn't nearly as marketable as ERP expertise, specifically SAP. 4. Management didn't seem to be interested in improving project methodologies regardless of the overall benefit to the company. Suggestions seemed to be evaluated based on the impact to their organization and didn't consider benefits to other organizations.
