Pros

The office is close to Larimer Square and Union Station

Cons

Circus Clowns fight to be the center of attention of this circus. It's an embarrassing place to work, Product Leadership is a joke. It took over three months to release one feature because the development team kept getting it wrong and once released the client hates how the feature was designed. DLeadership doesn't seem to think anything is wrong with this situation, It's been a never-ending story with the product team (one in particular) and leadership. Leadership will gaslight you if you bring up concerns with them. I observed during an engineering meeting leadership called out a new employee (not in his dept) in front of the entire group for what he thought was this person's mistake. Leadership had never talked to nor spoken with the new employee to either introduce themselves or to discuss the matter privately. Marketron had a round of lay-offs at the end of 2022 because the business lost a significant client early in 2022 and local engineers bailed in the fall of 2022. The company laid off an employee that had over 25+ years of experience in the industry. This person was praised by the CEO for their work and made an impact when they joined the company. They were part of the layoffs on 12/1/22 - they were not a white male. If you aren't a white male, you have no chance at this company. (see a review from Feb 28, 2022, and other reviews) The only people who receive bonuses are the C-Level employees and Upper Management. It's midyear of 2023, and haven't won any new business. CEO is now getting concerned about all the bad reviews showing up on Glassdoor and is wondering what the heck is going on.

Pros

Great location and nice office space.

Cons

All sorts of issues and a lack of professionalism at this company. If you are not a white male employee, your days at the company are numbered. The company is unable to win new business. It was purchased roughly 4 years ago from an Australian company - several of these employees came over from that company to work at Marketron after the purchase. Leadership for product has no clue about actual product and product development. Employees from the other company run the show. Their influence is great and so they have been able to determine priority features based on their 30 years of Australian radio and TV experience. Not 30 years of US radio and TV experience There was hope when the company hired someone with years of experience to help move the software in the right direction but they let this person go in December 2022 saying they were restructuring however, the person voiced their concerns about racial and gender discrimination weeks prior to getting laid off. Let's talk about the client liaison - goes MIA for several days during the week to work on a side business. When this person goes onsite to meet with the customer, they create havoc and others are left to clean up the mess. As everyone praises each other, the company has not won a single new client over the past few years.

Pros

Low expectations are easy to meet with no accountability.

Cons

Sales can't close a deal. Marketing is nonexistent. The engineering group can't ship working software. Testing is nonexistent. The product group can't prioritize or make decisions. The general manager can't manage his way out of a wet paper bag. The support group can't figure out the status of their own project. It's all a shame.
