Far better companies in the industry to work for...
Pros
- Good entry level job to get experience - Met a few wonderful people along the way - If you prove yourself as a recruiter you can move into Account Management fairly quick, if that is the route you want to take.
Cons
- Leadership is not consistent, supportive, innovative, or forward-thinking. I expressed frustration/concerns to management about certain things that were negatively impacting the success of the business and was blatantly ignored/they changed the subject. - The commission structure and base pay are not consistent with competitors. - Benefits are not good. - There is no transparency. Instead, there is lying. - I was encouraged to "exaggerate" Matlen's success/capabilities to potential clients to obtain business. However - this was not exaggeration, it was lying. I consistently witnessed my manager lie to clients in front of me. - Also lie to employees about why people leave. - There has been a ton of turn over in the past two years including a few of the top sales earners leaving. - Most of these extremely positive reviews are fake, I was asked to write a positive review on Glassdoor during my time there.
