      Pros

      Great sales training, creative incentives, fun clientail. 40% discount, extra 10% discount during holidays. I got some great sales and operations experience during my time with Maurices. I believe it is a great job for highschool/college age students.

      Cons

      Advancement opportunites are lacking, sales team can get catty. Top proformers get called in unscheduled often because sales associates call in to work or don't show.

      40% discount Sometimes you get free things

      Cons

      Way too many managers compared to sales associates. Managers expect way too much, expect you to do work that isn't realistic/you don't have time for. You get in trouble for tasking and trying to clean yet pressured to be 100% customer focused, and you get in trouble for the store being messy at the end of the night because you were customer focused. It's a lose lose situation no matter what, either way you are wrong. The schedule was made by favorites, if they didn't like you that week you'd get 0 hours. They are constantly hiring more people, yet they complain about going over payroll and hours, when they could just give the people that had 0 hours, more hours instead of hiring on more. Overall just bad relationship between managers and sales associates.

      Pros

      Love the fashion and clothing. They work with my hours for my daughter and other employees. Fun atmosphere.

      Cons

      Bonuses aren't what I was expecting and neither are the hours. I was told 36 hours a week minimum along with monthly bonuses. I haven't seen a bonus yet due to the store I am in not meeting numbers. High turnover rate.
