Pros

Weekly pay, decent structure and propriety softwares. Utilization of Microsoft access in that capacity has never been seen before. Large selection and decent priced tires. They USED TO have a great employee discount program but that’s gone now.

Cons

Very very poor leadership. Corporate will not investigate anything brought to their attention especially HR. I would not work for mavis if you have kids, or ethics. No vision insurance, probationary period is 120 days and no chance in ell of a raise before

Toxic Environment

Pros

Pro: Some great co-workers who are really smart and dedicated. Why they still work there is bit mystifying. Stockholm syndrome? Pro: You can experience a really terrible company so you'll know what the bottom looks like. Pro: The wonderful feeling I had the day I drove out of that parking lot for the last time. After marriage and kids, truly the best day of my life.

Cons

Senior management uses constant negative feedback; daily reminders that you cost the company more than you are worth. I know a person there who had not gotten a raise in 14 years! Prior to Mavis I worked many years for a large company where I was a trusted and valued member of the team. They recently tried to get me to come back. I declined as I now work for another great company. I've been here a few years; again as a appreciated member of their team having received annual merit increases that put me way ahead of where I would be had I stayed at Mavis.
