Pros

Decent pay, potential to learn a lot from team members

Cons

Management is a mess there is no control or organization. Arguments and fights on the floor constantly make for an extremely toxic work environment. It’s always a high stress environment in ER/ICU but this is on another level. Most team members are great and skilled and have potential to work well together but the place is set up for failure because of management.

Pros

Intelligent and hardworking staff (technicians and staff). Some veterinarians are very smart and have good technical skills.

Cons

All employees are overworked. Most doctors are recent graduates who are book smart, but not technically smart. Will put employees and pets lives at risk to “just get things done”. Very high turnover rate. Extremely unsafe nurse-to-patient ratios in the nursing department. Lack of staff. PTO denied due to lack of staff. Minimal upper management presence/assistance. Poor communication between management and staff. Minimal acknowledgement of staff (except a select few). Extremely high cost for the “actual” care given.

Horrible for diversity & inclusion

Pros

They pay a living wage. Set schedule for the most part.

Cons

If you are BIPoC, you will experience racism and prejudice from coworkers as well as leadership. HR is ran by white women (of course) that have no idea they perpetuate prejudice themselves. This company does not give any reasonable accommodations even if you provide medical documentation. They exclude Handicapped & Disabled peoples intentionally. You are just a number. The staff turn over rate is high.
