Pros

MedVet has some of the most amazing people! You couldn't ask for a better group of people with which to work. Leadership seems to have a great vision and true desire to provide a real good working environment - to improve "employee experience." There is still hope that the working environment will become what leadership has envisioned.

Cons

Seems to have high turnover. A lot of the staff are burned-out and suffering from compassion fatigue. Voicing concerns to management goes unheard and often told we are just complaining (BCD'ing). The employee experience never seems to improve, we just keep getting blamed for negatively impacting other staff members - year after year. More and more leadership positions are being created to support the fast growth of the company, but many of those jobs are never posted (internally or externally). The work pyramid is turning upside-down - the foundation is shrinking while the top is expanding.

Pros

High quality care. Working with the animals! The benefits are okay.

Cons

Useless management. You will be pushed back in time with all the childish and high school games. No use in bringing your concerns to management that act like they are going to help, but really don't. The turnover is high. Basically work is your new family; because you will not get to see your family very often. Be prepared to no longer have a life. The pay sucks here, but this company can afford to keep buying up clinics instead of dealing with the problems within the ones they already have. Be prepared to be stressed out and have your tear ducts full. Do your research before taking a job at this company. It is a true corporation. Just because there are a lot of job listings don't let that fool you look at the reviews they will tell you everything from people that are not up the management's hind end.

Pros

Feeling like I made a difference in a pet's life.

Cons

witnessed lots of drama at the reception area appeared to be a group of girls openly discussing drinking, sex, being hung over while working. Noticed lots of them texting while they were supposed to be working and witnessed many times them leaving only 1 person off to the side at the reception area when it appeared that there were 4 or 5 people working. Not very many are good at being kind to the clients I witnessed many a time they would talk about clients and make fun of them openly at the desk. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...
